Information We Collect

Meta IT Labs apps are built to need as little of your data as possible. As a rule, our apps do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we do not operate accounts, servers, or databases of our own that store your personal information.

Some of our apps are clients for services you already run or subscribe to yourself (for example, a self-hosted media server). In those cases, any data you view or manage — your media library, credentials for that service, and so on — is exchanged directly between your device and the service you configured. It never passes through, or is stored on, Meta IT Labs infrastructure, because we don't operate that infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

Apple. If an app offers an in-app purchase, that purchase is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We receive confirmation that you own an entitlement — never your payment details, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.

Your own services. Where an app connects to a server or account you provide (your own URL, your own login), that connection is between your device and that service directly. We recommend reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party service you choose to connect an app to.

Data Storage & Security

Where an app needs to remember something on your behalf — like login credentials for a service you connected — it's stored locally on your device using the platform's secure storage (such as the iOS or watchOS Keychain), not synced to any Meta IT Labs server, because none exists for this purpose. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll address it.

Your Choices

Because our apps generally don't collect or retain personal data on our servers, there is usually nothing for us to delete on request. Where an app stores data locally (like saved login details), signing out or uninstalling the app removes it. If you have questions about a specific app's data handling, see that app's section below or contact us.

Changes to This Policy

As we add apps or features, we'll update this page — including the "App-Specific Details" section below — rather than publishing a separate policy per app. Check back here for the latest version; the date at the top reflects the last update.

App-Specific Details

jwatch

jwatch is a client for Jellyfin, an open-source media server that you (or someone you trust) run yourselves. jwatch connects only to the server address you enter when you sign in.

  • We do not operate, host, or have access to your Jellyfin server or its media library.
  • Your server address and access token are stored in your Apple Watch's Keychain, on-device only, and are never sent to Meta IT Labs.
  • jwatch includes no analytics or advertising SDKs of any kind.
  • The optional Offline Downloads unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit — we never receive your payment information.
  • Downloaded audio files are stored locally on your watch and removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall it.

FitmAI

FitmAI departs from the general baseline above in a few ways, detailed here for transparency.

  • Your profile, workout logs, nutrition logs, body measurements, and goals are stored locally on your device. We never see this data, and it is never uploaded to our servers.
  • If you grant Health access, FitmAI reads steps, sleep, workouts, water intake, weight, and waist circumference from Apple Health to power its dashboards, and writes back the water intake, weight, and waist circumference you log. This stays between your device and Apple Health — FitmAI's servers never receive raw Health data.
  • Two AI features route requests through FitmAI's own backend: nutrition lookup sends only the food name and serving size you type in, and the daily AI review sends only aggregated numbers (calorie/macro percentages, hydration, steps, sleep, workout status). Neither includes your name, email, or any other identifier.
  • Unlike our other apps, FitmAI does operate its own backend. It is used for three things: relaying the AI requests above, recording anonymous feature-usage and crash diagnostics, and crediting referrals when you redeem an influencer's promo code. In every case, the only identifier sent is a random one generated on your device — never your name, email, or Apple ID. This identifier resets if you delete your account. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
  • FitmAI Premium subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment card details.
  • Deleting your account from within the app permanently erases all locally stored data and generates a fresh anonymous identifier if you continue using the app.
